Changes Not Saving When Editing Chronology Entries

What Is Happening
When you click on a chronology entry to edit it, Mary opens an edit window (modal) where you can change the date, description, or other details. In some cases, this window:
Closes when you click near the edges of the window or on the background behind it
Appears to save your changes but reverts to the original text when you reopen the entry
The edit window closing is a security feature designed to protect your session. Changes are automatically synced and saved when editing, so if the window closes after you have made changes, they should be preserved.

Troubleshooting
If edits are not being automatically saved, try these steps:
1. Try a Different Browser
If you are using Chrome, try Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or Safari. Some browser versions may interfere with the edit window. Switching browsers often resolves the issue entirely.
2. Use a Private or Incognito Window
Open Mary in a private browsing window (also called incognito mode). This disables browser extensions and clears cached data, both of which can interfere with the edit window.
Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac)
Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac)
Safari: Cmd+Shift+N
Edge: Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac)
3. Do Not Click Outside the Edit Window
While the edit window is open, do not click anywhere on the background behind it. Even an accidental click on the greyed-out area can trigger the window to close. Keep your cursor and clicks within the edit window until you have finished making changes.
