Get access to Mary and shared matters

Ask your organisation administrator to arrange access to your firm's Mary environment, and the matter owner to arrange access to a particular matter. These are separate steps. If you cannot authenticate with your work account, start with Sign in to Mary.

A Team Member can see matters they created and matters shared with them. Joining an organisation does not make every matter visible. Mary includes unlimited firm user seats; each person uses their own authorised account.

Join your organisation

Give your Mary administrator your work email and the organisation you need to join. If you receive an invitation, complete it using the intended account and your firm's sign-in method. Ask the administrator to check an expired or unusable invitation.

Once you can sign in to the correct organisation, check whether the matter you need is available under Matters.

Request access to a matter

  1. Give the matter owner its full name or reference and the work account you are using.

  2. Ask them to arrange sharing with that account.

  3. Open Matters and confirm that you can open the intended matter.

If it is still missing, check your account, Mary region and organisation with the owner. For a colleague, provide their details to the administrator or owner and ask the colleague to confirm access through their own account.

Changes to membership or responsibility

Before removing access or moving a user, identify the matters they own and the colleagues who need continued access. Agree the administration and ownership-transfer steps with your administrator and Mary support.

Removing access, transferring responsibility and deleting content have different effects. Keep the existing account and matter content in place until the proposed change is understood.
