NetDocuments Integration – Customer Onboarding Guide

Welcome! Mary's NetDocuments integration is now live, allowing you to import documents directly from your NetDocuments account into your matters — no manual downloading or re-uploading required.

Getting Started

To connect your NetDocuments account:

  1. Open or create a Matter in Mary

  2. Navigate to the Sources tab and click Add files

  3. Click the dropdown arrow (▾) next to the button

  4. Select "Add from NetDocuments"

  5. Log in to your NetDocuments account when prompted

  6. You're connected! You can now browse and import documents directly

Available in the United States and Australia.

What You Can Do

Once connected to NetDocuments, you can:

  • Connect to your existing NetDocuments account

  • Navigate between Cabinets within your account

  • Import documents in all supported formats: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .eml, .msg

  • Search for files and folders by name

Current Limitations

There are a few things that aren't available yet in this version of the integration:

  • Export from Mary to NetDocuments — You cannot push documents from Mary back into NetDocuments at this time. This feature is in active development on NetDocuments' side and we expect an update soon.

  • Folder/subdirectory view — Documents are currently displayed as a flat list rather than organised by folders or subdirectories. Use the search function to quickly locate specific files or folders.

  • Workspace view — Workspaces are not visible within the integration at this time.

Tips for the Best Experience

  • Use the search bar to find documents quickly — searching by file or folder name is the most efficient way to navigate your content given the current flat list view.

  • Make sure you have your NetDocuments login credentials handy before starting, as you'll need to authenticate on first use.

Export to NetDocuments — The ability to send documents from Mary directly into your NetDocuments account is in development. We'll notify you as soon as it's available.
